These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the NumProof software, website and related services ("Service"). The Service is operated by Kanishk Gupta, a sole proprietorship trading as "NumProof", having its place of business at Noida, Uttar Pradesh, India ("NumProof", "we", "us"). By installing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
NumProof is a Microsoft Excel add-in that lets you extract numbers and tables from PDF documents into Excel, maintain links between those values and their source documents, and generate an identifier ("NumLink ID") and hash for source files to support an audit trail. Features may change or be improved over time.
You must be capable of forming a binding contract to use the Service. When you start a trial or subscribe, you provide an account identifier, name, email address and phone number, and you agree that the information you provide is accurate and kept up to date.
We offer a 15-day free trial. To start the trial you set up an auto-pay mandate through our payment partner; you are not charged during the trial. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, your paid subscription begins automatically at the end of the trial and the first charge is taken then. At sign-up you may instead choose to subscribe and pay immediately, without a trial; in that case the first charge (for your chosen monthly or annual term) is taken at sign-up.
Subject to these Terms and payment of applicable fees, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Service. Each seat is licensed to one machine at a time and is bound to that machine. You may move a seat to another machine subject to reasonable transfer limits; contact support if you need additional transfers.
You agree not to: (a) copy, resell, sublicense or redistribute the Service; (b) reverse-engineer, decompile or attempt to extract source code except as permitted by law; (c) circumvent licensing, machine-binding or usage limits; (d) use the Service unlawfully or to infringe others' rights.
The documents and workbooks you use with the Service remain yours. The Service operates on your machine and does not upload the contents of your documents to us. You are responsible for your data and for keeping backups.
The Service, including the software, the NumProof and NumLink names, and all associated intellectual property, belongs to us. These Terms grant you a licence to use the Service, not any ownership of it.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. NumProof assists with extraction and record-keeping but does not replace professional judgement; you remain responsible for verifying figures and for your professional work.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, NumProof shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or loss of data, profits or goodwill. Our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms or non-payment. You may stop using the Service and cancel at any time as described in our Refund & Cancellation Policy. On termination, your licence ends.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified by email or on this website. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts at Noida, Uttar Pradesh shall have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to applicable law.
