Common questions

The NumProof tab isn't showing in Excel
Close Excel completely and reopen it. If it's still missing, open Excel → File → Options → Add-ins → COM Add-ins (Go…) and make sure NumProof is ticked. Still stuck? Send us a message and we'll help.
How do I move my licence to another computer?
Open the Control Panel → Subscription → Release this computer on the old machine, then install and activate on the new one. Each licence allows a limited number of moves per month to prevent sharing; contact us if you need a reset.
How do I assign a seat to a team member?
In the Control Panel → Subscription, choose Assign a seat and enter their email. They get a seat code; you share the password separately. They claim it from their own Control Panel. Seat passwords are never emailed.
How do I turn on NumProof Web?
It's account-wide. In the Control Panel → Subscription, choose Add NumProof Web. Then install the NumProof Web Chrome extension and pair it with Excel from the extension's popup. Every seat on your account gets it.
Is two-factor authentication available?
Yes — turn on authenticator-app 2FA for your NumProof account from the Control Panel → Account → Two-factor authentication.
What does NumProof store about me?
Enough to run your licence and team features — your account email, seats, and lightweight sync like team template names. The contents of your PDFs and captures stay on your computer and are never uploaded. See our privacy policy.
How do I cancel?
Cancel anytime from the Control Panel → Subscription. Your plan stays active until the end of the paid cycle, then stops. See Refund & Cancellation.
